Should we be excited that the Church of Scotland has voted to allow gay and lesbian ministers, with a proviso: each congregation must specifically elect to admit them, according to a report in The Guardian. From what I can tell, this is a compromise for the church, between traditionalists (read: homophobes) and more progressive types.
Yawn . . . OK, I’m not really excited about this, but it is good to see them making some progress.
Still, though, I can’t understand why some people think they have a right to dictate the parameters of love and relationships between other consenting adults.
