The Doors were undoubtedly one of the greatest bands ever, in my opinion, and I am saddened today by the death of co-founder and keyboardist Ray Manzarek. The music he and his bandmates produced has been and still is part of the soundtrack of my life, songs like The Crystal Ship, When the Music’s Over and the haunting Riders on the Storm . . . “Into this house we’re born/ Into this world we’re thrown /Like a dog without a bone /An actor out alone /Riders on the storm . . .”

Ray, thank you so much for what you gave us, for what you left us.

A la prochaine . . .
