U.S. Flag

I think I have an idea of what many Americans are feeling today: on Monday, which was Canada Day, I stood on my daughter’s front lawn proudly waving my little Canadian flag as Greenfield Park’s annual parade passed by. It was an oh-so-Canadian affair, i.e. pretty corny, but I was touched by all the people participating in the parade and by all the onlookers cheering them on, and cheering for our great nation. We need days like those to remind us of how fortunate we are to be able to live in such great countries.

America is a great nation, and its people have much to be proud of and thankful for. And I think many Canadians are thankful America is our next-door neighbour.

Personally, I am honoured to have many American readers of both my blogs. I am honoured that so many of you have written to me over the years, and that you have taken the time to comment and participate.

Which is all a leadup to say . . .

Happy Independence Day to all my American readers!

God bless you.

God bless America.
