So, why was I soaking my platform sandal in lukewarm water this morning, you might be asking.
Smiles . . .
Because it squeaked.
I bought these shoes this summer at Sears. They’re beautiful, with 3.5-inch heels, and so comfy. But one of the shoes squeaked when I walked, embarrassingly so. One gent at work even asked me if I needed an oil can.
So, my g/f and I tried a few methods to get the squeak out, including using Vaseline and other lubricants. Finally, in a last-ditch effort, I tried soaking it for a minute or two in water and, presto! No more squeak.
That lasted for almost three weeks, but then the squeak returned this morning. So, I repeated the soaking technique — and my shoe is once again squeak-free.
Cool, huh?
