I bet everyone who buys Remembrance Day poppies has had trouble keeping them pinned on, had them slip off and disappear, and has had to buy another, and maybe another, in the days leading up to Nov. 11.
Well, a radio show host had a great suggestion the other day: use a small piece of cork (from a wine bottle) on the end of the pin to hold it in place. Bingo! It works!
The host also suggested using a safety pin, but I prefer the cork method.

Hi Jill,
I just use a Canadian Flag pin. Pop it in the middle, and put the butterfly clasp on the back. Works for me. Cheers!!
