Well, certain American evangelicals are probably leaping for joy now that Uganda has passed an ugly anti-gay bill that could see people being imprisoned for life.
The West must speak out against Uganda, and take decisive action, i.e. stop sending them any sort of aid and break off all ties. As for the American evangelicals who are at least partially responsible for Uganda’s bigotry, they should be brought to justice in their own country. Shame on them, and shame on Uganda!

Jill, Uganda is a country with deep social and political problems, grinding poverty, an illiterate population, and corrupt and bloodthirsty leadership. Obviously LGBT people should not go there. However, rather than cutting off aid and support to them. we should tie this aid and support to to improve education health and to fight poverty and discrimination. They are so far back in the stone age that LGBT issues are really non starters. We would do better to fight these issues in the first world, like say Australia which has just rescinded same gender marriages, or as you well know Russia, Croatia and some of our friends down south. I know a wrong is a wrong, but we can’t spread ourselves to thin.

This is not the message of love and peace these evangelists claim to spread abroad. How wicked they are.
