Do you make New Year’s resolutions? Normally, I don’t make any, but I have resolved recently to do a couple of things to help me keep fit, so I’ll count them as New Year’s resolutions, even though I’ve already started doing them.

The first is simply to smile more often. You see, I discovered that smiling helps to lift one’s (sagging) face, so until I can afford to get a facelift, I’ll just have to keep smiling at everyone. Now, this is not to be confused with the kind of perpetual (foolish) grin I might have sported some decades ago when I was in L.A.  puffing on some sweet California grass. No, no, this is more of a mature smile, as in “the content woman.” Then again, it could be a flirty smile for a Casanova type . . . The point is, smiling is good exercise for my face . . . and so simple, yes? It’s an easy resolution to keep . . .

My second resolution is almost as simple: an exercise regime for the rest of my body, particularly my thighs. I have some good exercise equipment at home, so it is a matter of making the time to do it — and I am doing just that.

How about you? Are you making any practical New Year’s resolutions that are easily attainable?
