Favorite liqueurs?

I’ve written a few times about my love for Barefoot wines — both Zinfandel and Shiraz — from California. Of course I drink other wines Carolansas well, but the Barefoot brands are my favourites. But during the Christmas holidays, Maggie and I bought some liqueurs as a treat — she bought Kahlua and I bought a bottle of Carolans’ Irish Cream.

KahluaWell, I’m not too fussy about the Kahlua, but the Irish Cream is to die for. It is soooooo gooooood! I’ve used in coffee, and I have consumed small amounts — 4 ounces — straight.

Another liqueur that I have fallen in love with is called Panama Jack’s, a wine-based creamy liqueur not unlike Irish cream, and equally delicious. It is at sold at The Wine Shop in Ontario.

How about you? What are your favorite liqueurs?

  1. My favorite liqueurs are Amaretto di Sarano, Kahlua, Chambord, and Midori.
I have been drinking Barefoot’s chardonnay and cabernet since 1992, and since New Years eve, their cuvee’ dry champagne. 🙂

  2. As you know, am rather a light-weight these days when it comes to booze, but for favorite liqueurs: Amaretto Di Saronno, Bailey’s Irish Cream (prefer that to Carolan’s), and once in a while, Pernod.

  3. I pour Baileys’ Irish Cream into a small wine glass but am more reasonable when it comes to Goldschlaeger not knowing if the gold flakes can do damage.
Prost and Happy New Year to you dear Jillian and to Maggie.
