Walden and Alan getting married?
I wouldn’t bet on it, but I loved the way the show left us hanging last night – with the two of them only steps away from the altar and a minister (Tim Conway) who was prepared, thanks to Carl Reiner, to perform their wedding ceremony. Earlier in the show, Walden “proposed” to Alan in a warped but well-intentioned effort to get Carl to go through with the wedding to Allen’s mom . . . sigh . . . don’t ask . . . it is a tangled web, and a funny one at that.
As I’ve written in earlier posts, I love the new — and contemporary — directions the, umm, directors are taking the show, though I think it might be time for a title change. When all is said and done, this season may be remembered as its finest: it’s one of the few shows on TV that makes me laugh these days in this very serious world we live in. I need that form of not-so-pure silly escapism for 20 or so minutes a week . . .
I hope the show is renewed for next season.
Cheers

That’s one of the few shows I use my DVR for to make sure I don’t miss it. Last night’s show gave me a well-needed smile and a few chuckles.
