A taste of Quebec: Harmonium on CHOM’s Classic Vinyl Sundays

Harmonium_Album

I mentioned recently in a post that I hope young people — and others — are being exposed to the music of great Quebec French bands from the 1960s, ’70s and so on, bands like Harmonium, Beau Dommage, Offenbach and others.

Well, CHOM-FM’s Classic Vinyl Sundays program, with host Randy Renault, will be spinning Harmonium’s first album tonight — a timeless “folk-driven” classic that was released in 1974. Harmonium is one of my Top 10 bands of all time, in any language.

So no matter where you are — Quebec, rest of Canada, the U.S., the U.K., et al — try to click in to CHOM on Sunday at 7 p.m. You can listen online.

Enjoy a musical taste of Quebec.
