. . . What, exactly? And what was I thinking when I bought them? Is there a practical use for them, besides hooking on The Main? I have been trying to find a legitimate reason to wear them ever since I succumbed to a half-price sign in Sears three or four years ago. No wonder they were half price: I bet if I had delayed my purchase for another week, they would have given them to me.
I did try to wear them in public once, and wrote about the experience for my Gazette blog. I inspired cat calls, traffic stopped for me, heads turned . . .
I wore them for some BDSM dominatrix play — and I stress the word “play.”
But, other than that, they are just taking up space in my closet, and every once in a while I try to find an excuse to wear them, thus justifying my purchase (see recent post about nude modelling).
I’m sure everyone buys impractical clothes now and then. Thing is, I really love these boots. They’re sexy! It’s just that I don’t want to parade about looking like a sex pot . . . lol.
So, how does one wear such boots and not look like a hooker or a domina?
Maybe if I wear them under a nun’s habit?
Hmm . . .
How about you? What impractical clothes and footwear lurk in your closet?
P.S. I did a post about my impractical clothes here last May, and I am still trying to find an excuse to wear them.
