Sigh . . . It seems we we have to keep reminding people that we bisexuals can be (and probably usually are) monogamous, too. There has been much ado recently about an interview Larry King did with Anna Paquin, in which he reportedly had trouble grasping the complete concept. (See article on The Independent site.)
I didn’t see the interview, so I can’t offer fair comment on it.
But I have written about bisexuality and monogamy before. It’s really quite simple: If you identify as a bisexual (like I do) but are in a loving monogamous relationship (like I am), you’re still a bisexual. Because being bisexual simply means that one can love a male or a female. But I am not a swinger. I’m faithful.
Do I need to elaborate? I don’t think so.

Sorry, can you just run that past me again?
Are you saying that many people in the media are really too dumb to be doing their jobs?

It’s all a problem of boxes Lot’s of folks don’t fit into all even some of our social boxes. BTW, I’m not a swinger, but I think swingers can be faithful too and can share casual sex with others. Just as nudity and sexuality are not the same, neither is faithfulness and sexuality.

Of course we can be bisexual and monogamous; it continues to amaze me that people think we can’t be both and it not be a problem…

I agree. Bisexuals are and can be monogamous. It is just the ignorance of the media and other people
