It has been a tough week for the people in my office. A beloved colleague died a week ago today, and almost everyone from our newsroom — past and present — turned out for his funeral on Sunday.

But life goes on, and deadlines must be met. As I work on this day, I am listening to a mellow song by an old and revered Quebec band, Harmonium. The song is called En pleine face, and it starts with this line: “Another page has turned . . .”
