I wonder if the members of We Five even imagined when they made an appearance on the TV show The Hollywood Palace decades ago that they would still be on people’s minds in the year 2014?

It speaks for the power of music, yes?

Here’s We Five doing their big hit You Were on My Mind, written by Ian and Syliva. They perform it here live — not lipsyncing — only a couple of weeks after it was released in 1965. The show’s host: the great Fred Astaire.

I love this old song.
