“Why do people say ‘You look good for your age’? Why can’t they just say ‘You look good.’ ”
Those are the words of a 92-year-old woman, spoken from her hospital bed today when my g/f and I went to visit her.
She’s got a good point, doesn’t she?

Yes. “You look good” should suffice.

She does have a point, but ‘ll take a compliment any time I can get it! Also a hug, smile, and especially a flirt from anyone!
In fact, just the other day a grocery bagger said “Thanks for shopping here!” and I almost left my wife. It was obvious that the young gal was enamored of me! 😉
(If you don’t get that, it’s kinda a guy thing. We’re so needy of affection that we imagine it!)

At age 19, I was told I looked 25, now that I am 67, I’m told I look 45. I think they want to compliment us and don’t know how to do it without surprising themselves. I personally have no problem.
