I made a resolution yesterday and I’ve been sticking with it today: to drink more water.

Don’t laugh. I’m one of those people who has not been drinking their quota of water every day. I’ve been drinking three cups of coffee in the morning, more coffee at work . . . but seldom cool, clear water.

Coffee supposedly doesn’t count as water, even though it contains water. It is believed by some to act as a diuretic.

Anyway, regardless, we are told to drink eight cups of water a day, and that’s why I have been doing since yesterday. And, magically, I am seeing the effects already in my face: healthier tone, fuller.

It’s a no-brainer, of course. Our bodies are largely made up of water. I mean, we as a species evolved from the water. It only stands to reason that we should drink lots of it.

But, sigh, water can be boring sometimes . . .

Yadda yadda yadda . . .

Such is my pre-New Year’s resolution.
