The state funeral for the great Jean Béliveau took place just steps away from my office today. It has been a miserable snowy day here, with high winds. But the church was filled to capacity with dignitaries and members of the public, and there were many people outside watching the funeral on giant screens.

When they took Jean’s casket out of the hearse, the public applauded the late, great Montreal Canadiens player.
I’ve snapped many photos. Here are a few for now. I’ll post more later when time allows.

RIP Jean. He is a really fine man, liked and respected by everyone. I had the honour of meeting him several times. He will be missed. One of a kind.
