Beneath all the glitter and gifts and merrymaking of Christmas lies perennial wisdom given to us by a man thousands of years ago. Jesus of Nazareth is one of many masters who devoted his earthly life to guiding mankind, and his message and the sacrifice he made continues to inspire millions. Whether he was a mythical figure or a true-life human being is irrelevant: I know he would agree that his message of brotherly love is what matters most.

So, on Dec. 25, many of us celebrate the man and his message, and it is in that spirit that I wish you all a Merry Christmas!

God bless us, every one!
