I generally don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but I have made a couple for next year — one of which, at least, should be easy to keep.
While in an SAQ outlet (a government-run liquor store) the other day, I was surprised to see a large number of wines from California — at least a dozen different kinds, perhaps more. I’ve been happy with a few this past year, i.e. two Barefoot wines and Revolution Red, to the point that I didn’t try others from that beautiful state (my adopted home).
So, in 2015, I will make an effort to sample each of the wines offered In Quebec from California, and will keep notes, perhaps even blog about them.
As for my other resolution, well, sigh, it is to pay down debt! lol.
How about you? Any New Year’s resolutions?

You know… you could kill two birds with one stone by making your own wine at a Ferment on Premise store right there in Montreal. At our store in Ontario we make some fantastic wines from all over the world… and… we save our clients buckets of money (no taxes in our wines). Check it out, but remember, not all stores are the same. Look for clean floors and knowledgeable staff who love wine.
