CTV News had an “exclusive” report last night saying that “both sides” in the conflict against ISIS have been committing atrocities, namely that some of the fighters helping the Western coalition have beheaded some captured ISIS terrorists.
Critics called the acts “war crimes,” and want a full investigation. They say it makes the fighters no better than ISIS.
Thing is, when I heard the report, I didn’t feel sorry for the beheaded ISIS terrorists. It seems like karma — instant karma — to me. They are reaping what they are sowing, an eye for an eye, a taste of their own medicine . . . yadda yadda yadda.
In truth, I wish we could just drop an atom bomb on the ISIS terrorists, or find some other way to instantly exterminate them. I don’t see this as an official war, because it is not one country vs. another. It is the world trying to eliminate a serious cockroach problem — and since when do we capture cockroaches and give them fair trials?

I suggest they dump Ebola dead into ISIS encampments. Do a much better job than any bomb or nuke. But bet your toches Ebola didn’t come out of the jungle. One caveat, it would contravene Geneva Convention. But hey, do unto others as they do unto you. What kind of gun do you have? Is it registered?

I’ve told you before, various factions of Muslims have been killing and warring with each other for centuries. Nothing has changed but when the Bush Crime Syndicate toppled Saddam Hussein, they let the cork out of the bottle. Saddam was brutal, ruthless, and completely without moral conscious , but he did keep a lid on the regional tribal conflicts. Basically, they all feared Saddam.
Beheadings are normal there. It’s called Punishment by the Sword and it’s been in use for centuries. The closest ally to the US is Saudi Arabia. The Saudis’ execute their criminals almost daily by beheading. Where’s the outrage there?

Interesting. But I think ISIS sees the outrage it is provoking, and is using it accordingly, i.e. to portray themselves as brutal sickos.

Yours and GTH’s response means, ISIS is winning the terror war. They have you scared and you want to escalate the war between the West and Islam. A declared war between Islam and the West is their goal.
The only winning move is not to play.

I do not wish any escalation. If anything, I am behind Obama’s measured response because this “is a problem that the Arab states must combat” rather then using the West as it has done for a long time. Besides, the battle is to strengthen the defenses this time and mitigate fear-mongering so that in fact IS does not ignite such a backlash in NA that will only aid it’s ideology

Entirely agree. Saddam kept the lid on until the infamous search for WMDs. He probably lopped off more heads than IS to date. It’s his thugs, ex-military Generals,Colonels,Lieutenants exacting retribution against “all” for their defeat during the 2 conflicts. We weren’t so outraged when he was in power because he didn’t display it so openly, except of course for the gassing of the Kurds

I honestly have to agree. It would be different if the coalition forces were torturing or physically abusing Isis captures… they aren’t. Decapitation is quick, relatively painless and other than psychological; involves no torture.

Physiology of death by decapitation
Decapitation is quickly fatal to humans and most other animals. Unconsciousness occurs within 10 seconds without circulating oxygenated blood (brain ischemia). Cell death and irreversible brain damage occurs after 3-6 minutes with no oxygen due to excitotoxicity. Some anecdotes suggest more extended persistence of human consciousness after decapitation:

This is very interesting, indeed. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was some consciousness after a beheading.

Greetings, found your blog by accident and glad that I did. I am trying to put together a piece about nudist looking at it from a physiological view.
