Have you had enough of winter yet?
Parts of Canada and the United States are receiving record snowfalls, and it has been the coldest February in 20 years in Quebec and, no doubt, many other places as well.
Whither global warming? WTF?
There aren’t any signs of spring yet around here — except for the Sears spring/summer catalogue, which showed up in my mailbox last week.
And we still have March to get through, which usually roars in like the proverbial lion and doesn’t always end like a lamb. Sometimes, winter overstays well into April in these parts, with the final dregs of snow not melting until sometime in May.
Which is all to say that WINTER SUCKS!
There, I said it. I feel slightly better now.
Your turn . . .

You’re right — it sucks, and yes, I’ve had more than enough. Time to clear the driveway. Again.

Hey, if it was easy to live here everybody would…. and then your lake would be covered in cottages, snowmobiles and people…. People who live here are a tough bunch. We should complain all the more to scare off would be city folk who want to get away from it all. Keep our rural areas empty!

I have had more than enough. The bird bath is buried and the drifts so high my dog
(springer spaniel) struggles to plow through them. He is not by any means a weak or timid animal. And I cant open the windows for very long either which makes me cranky.
Hurry with the thaw already.

It’s 55F here right now at nearly noon. It looks like spring is just around the corner with tulip, daffodil, hyacinth leaves emerging. One of the reasons I moved to the Midlands of SC. I detest winter. The temps here these past few weeks have been below 40s and it’s way too long for me.
