In the weeks to come leading up to La Fête nationale du Québec on June 24, I’m going to post some of my favourite classic performances by some of our French musicians. Music is an international language — you don’t have to understand the words to enjoy the song, as all rock ‘n’ roll fans well know.

Here is a song written and performed by Robert Charlebois, joined by the soaring vocals of Louise Forestier, in the late 1960s or early 1970s.
