You know what they say about hindsight.
I imagine that every one of us would do some things differently with our lives if we could go back in time.
I know I would.
It seems we get caught up in the treadmill between the ages of, say, 25 and 60something, when we are working for the “man,” making him rich so that he can live a life of luxury. We give the best days of our lives to a small number of capitalists . . .
If I could go back in time, I would find a way to live outside of the rat race . . . I wouldn’t let myself become the “fucking peasant” John Lennon sang about in Working Class Hero.
There are other things I would do differently, too. But I would like to hear what you might do differently if you could change your past.
What say you?

Ok. Considering that you are(were – I’m assuming of course) born in one of the richest countries on Earth .. bitch..bitch..bitch. The problem or solution is that you think Beverly Hills. I would stick to enjoying Cupcakes because hopefully you can my dear what with GB issues. As they say, “the devil is in the details”. And that includes $$, clams, beads, jewels, gold, etc. Summer solstice sweetie %*

Yes, I do have regrets, and right after I turned 59 this past February, I posted “Regrets” to my blog. I was not the husband and father I should have been to my wife and children, and every time I hear “Cats In The Cradle” I get a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat, because it tells my story too. I can’t turn back the clock or roll back the calendar, so all I can do now is be the best Steve that I can be. Maybe some day my children will forgive me and we can be reconciled.

That is kind of a sad song. But we have to live for today, and look forward. I hope you and your children are reconciled. Indeed, this is a time for reconciliation.

Steve, without prying, it takes two to make a marriage and two to break it.
