Canadians may have made a colossal error by electing a majority Liberal government in October.
While the Liberals may be applauded for their plan to withdraw Canada’s fighters from the coalition battle against the scourge that is ISIS, and for their plan to give refuge to some 25,000 Syrians, history may show it was the wrong time for such peace and love idealism.
The fact is, the West is at war with an aggressor who won’t listen to reason and for whom the idealism of peace and love is an obscenity. ISIS is a mad dog intent on ripping apart civilization as we know it, and tearing apart the throats of every individual who doesn’t serve their psycho purposes.
If you believe Satan exists, then know that ISIS is the personification of that devil. Any ISIS claims that they are serving God are lies; no god would sanction the murderous activities of ISIS. Only mad dogs can’t see that point.
This is not the time for Canada to be withdrawing from the fight against an evil that will show us no mercy, whether we are fighting them or not. And it is not the time to be opening our borders to a flow of refugees that is almost certain to include ISIS operatives. It only takes a few ISIS sympathizers or operatives to wreak havoc on a city and murder defenceless people.
ISIS specializes in killing defenceless people. They call it “terrorism.” But, in fact, rampages like the #ParisAttacks are acts of cowardice committed by people who don’t have the balls to fight man to man. They are the ultimate losers in society, the dregs whose lives are so miserable that they just can’t bear to see others having happy lives and thus, in their jealousy and blind rage, lash out at the most vulnerable before committing the ultimate act of cowardice: blowing themselves up.
The Liberals’ plan to turn the other cheek won’t work with ISIS and its sympathizers. This is the time to be vigilant, put more military in the streets of the nation to stand on guard for thee, and to allow citizens to bear arms so that they are not completely helpless.
And it is time to root out the ISIS sympathizers already in our midst and hold them until the head of the organization has been cut off and they no longer have a master to appease.
If the Liberals are determined to turn the other cheek and make Canadians more vulnerable, they should call a new election and give Canadians a chance to vote on the issues of the real world. We can put their dreams on the back burner until such time ISIS is put down.

By the nature of your simple, one-sided consideration of the complexity of the issue, I’m guessing that you don’t like Liberals much, or else maybe you are just being your own troll and are looking for easy click-bait.
Thanks, but I won’t buy, for no other reason than there is just too much of that thing going around the ‘Net these days and it’s become really boring and unoriginal.

I don’t have a problem with the Liberals, other than the fact they seem out of touch with reality — whereas Prime Minister Harper was fully aware of security issues. But the news analysis I am reading is suggesting that Canada is an easy target for ISIS, and that we can expect to get similar #ParisAttacks here.
I put up the post as my opinion, for discussion, and welcome all points of view.
I’m not sure how complex the issue is: ISIS wants to kill us, and the average citizen here wants to feel secure and protected. Right now, many do not feel secure. That is not complex (in my opinion).

Like I said: nuke them. Because logic suggests that while “innocent” people will fry along with them, “the needs of the many out-weigh the needs of the few”. No? ISIL appears to have won with these drums beating. I would start praying. and hard %(

The fact that people do not feel secure, and as such demand action like you just did is precicely where IS wants you…..!

Hmmm….. Seems you are exactly where the terrorists want you to go!
I would think that them having some of the terrorists registered in between the migrants can only have the reason to make sure they can and did by having it quickly become known…
That basically will have the result of more people being against helping refugees fleeing from these barbarians, and create more hate against the refugees.
I would think that it is way easier for a terrorist to just fly in on a business or tourist visum, unless they are known.
But yes, having these refugees basically then be screwed by the West can result in more people being radicalised… Brilliant, precicely what IS wants….
So, yes, well done with that idea.
And for your post on people carrying guns…. Well done! The NRA applauds you!
Obviously having enough idiots with guns in a situtation like that will most likely result in these idiots with guns to start shooting, mostly missing the terrorists, but hitting other bystanders/victims.
If you would have suggested having armed police in strategic places on high-risk events I could have gone with that.
On the other hand we might want to ask ourselves the question if we would want to live in a society where we have such a high heavily armed police presence!

And we would know what an Israeli feels Like if this is any consolation %(

It’s probably going to come to that before ISIS is finally defeated.

We don’t want to live in an armed society, but these are not normal times. We are at war. If a couple of the people in the concert hall in Paris had handguns, they might have been able to neutralize the terrorists. But they were helpless.

Well, I wouldn’t go out and get your gun. Because you know what will happen they bang on your front door: “just watch me”. What you promote instigates the response. Ironic isn’t it %P

So, what would you do? Would you still allow the 25,000 refugees in by year’s end? And how would you guarantee the safety of Canadians if you are not going to allow them to bear arms with which they might defend themselves?

Have them micro-chipped. But then, so should we. So much for “freedom+democracy” %O

That is a partial solution, and it would only be temporary, until ISIS is defeated. Once the organization is gone, the loners will have little fight for.

And what would you do with your gun when it is over? Give it back? %P

What I find most disturbing is the incessant Media barrage under the tenant of Freedom of the Press and Speech, etc. It is propaganda no matter it’s source. ISIL has done their work well

The way it is going it’s simply that IS did get the ball rolling, and that we as a society with our governments make sure the ball keeps rolling until it is in our own goal….
In other words, IS started the destabilisation process of our society, and too mane of our fellow citicizens together with our governments will make sure the process will be completed….
Yep, well done to all who are now demanding the action of closing borders, kicking Muslims out, etc.
IS has got where they wanted you!
