Nudism/Naturism: Life drawing and nude modeling

I have often spoken here about how social nudism/naturism helps people with body acceptance issues and, taking it a step further, how being a life model can empower you, too.

I’ve done two sessions as a nude model so far for an artists’ workshop set up specifically to help people overcome body issues, both artists and models — and, of course, to give the artists some much-needed practice and to give budding models a chance to practice. You can find links to my various reports at the top of this page.

Today I want to point you to an article in the Ottawa Citizen that features a member of my social nudism/naturism group: Howard Hartley has been posing for artists — and getting paid for it — for almost a dozen years.

Please check it out: Howard is quite a character and has been an inspiration for me in fulfilling my nude modeling aspirations.

Cheers

  1. What a truly brilliant and helpful idea – to help people accept who they are and to love their body. Thanks for caring and for doing this
