First Bruce Springsteen, now Canadian rocker Bryan Adams.

It was predictable — as I and no doubt many others pointed out. And we’ll see more and more of this sort of protest in the days and months to come.

Following Bruce’s cancellation of his band’s concert in North Carolina this past weekend in protest over that state’s anti-LGBT law, Bryan has followed suit by cancelling his concert Thursday in Biloxi, Mississippi because of that state’s anti-LGBT law.

Some are saying such show cancellations will have little impact on the conservatives behind the anti-LGBT legislation in those states and other places. Indeed, I have seen conservative types cheering the fact that an LGBT supporter wouldn’t be going to their state, because the truth is, they would like to see all LGBT people gone from the face of the Earth.

But Bryan says he can’t in good conscience perform in a state where “certain people are being denied their civil rights due to their sexual orientation,” the Associated Press is reporting.

Way to go, Bryan . . . We love you.
