For many, it’s important to bring in the New Year with a toast and the clink of wine or Champagne glasses with your loved ones and friends.
When Maggie and I toasted each other at the stroke of midnight, she was drinking an Italian merlot and I was drinking O’Casey’s Irish Cream.

We’re too old and have no friends to celebrate the New Year with. So, staying at home.

We had a couple of bottles of champagne, but my wife was feeling “just awful” (flu-like symptoms resulting from a vaccination yesterday), so she went to bed early. We will celebrate on new years day.
