OK, no more J.K. Rowling posts because the more I look into the controversy surrounding her, the dirtier I feel. If I were an investigative reporter, I would steel myself, hold my nose and be as objective as possible in my reporting.
Not that I can’t be objective here, but I am not an investigative reporter and this is a blog, not the New York Times.
Suffice to say that J.K. is getting a lot of attention, both favourable and unfavourable, and I’m quite sure she is comfortable with all of it.
I’ll leave the two preceding posts about her on the board because they drew some discussion.
Honestly, those two posts and the online research — including on Twitter — have left me dispirited. I need to lift my spirit. Tonight’s remedy: a couple of songs by George Harrison. I love his spirit . . .
🤙 Good. Because you’re got it. It’s a dirty business: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7O7ihJCq0w

George was always my favorite Beatle. He was the most Spiritual of the Fab Four. “Within You, Without You” had a big impact on me.

George turned me on to Eastern spirituality, which eventually reunited me with Theosophy and old writers I feel I knew — or at least read — in a previous incarnation.
George was a spiritual master, of sorts, even though he never would have considered himself that way. But his work will inspire many for a long time to come.

Well, I guess you by now have caught up on my earlier comment that either she is wilfully ignorent, or just is a full blown transphobe.

I do try to look for the good in people and give them the benefit of the doubt. I had to look for myself.
