Far be it for me, a Canadian, to comment on another country’s political system.
But I am wondering how things might turn out with Donald Trump and his White House occupancy.
I will not ask any leading questions here. No what-ifs . . .
Any thoughts on all of this from American readers?

Is there a question there?
Donald Trump only does things for Donald Trump. He will launch a cable TV channel this winter after the despot is evicted. They are reportedly already in pre-production. At $6 per month they are projecting a Billion dollars a year in subscription fees. Money that he will use to launch his bid for the 2024 presidential campaign. And pay his lawyers defending him from a multitude of civil and a few state criminal charges. (Trump never pays for anything himself).
What will really happen is that Trump TV will not survive a year due to low viewer numbers. There’s not enough cult members to live for 24/7 Trump. Meanwhile, the money from the cable TV subscriptions will be eaten up by Trump’s legal problems. Since Trump Jr. is supposedly in charge of the family business, he will bear the criminal and civil penalties of the crimes committed by the business for the past few years. Kushner will suffer the consequences of violations of Federal laws because Trump put him in charge of various official and unofficial projects. The would-be dictator will not spend a single day in jail, but putting his kids in charge made sure that they would be the first under the bus.
Of course, security officials are estimating that the national security knowledge in Trump’s head would be worth as much as $10 Billion to an adversary such as Russia or China.

Food for thought…the possibilities are ENDLESS!

He will leave. He will make up excuses as to why he’s still a winner. He’ll be a thorn in the GOP’s side for a long time.
Maybe he’ll even start his own 3rd party and slowly fade to irrelevancy, like George Wallace and Ross Perot did. The good thing about that is he’d take the wingnuts that are his base with him and the GOP might become a useful institution again. The party of Abraham Lincoln and the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
