On another note . . .
OK, just so you don’t think my whole life is about championing social justice causes . . .
Maggie and I have taken up jigsaw puzzles. We bought ourselves a large folding card table, a jigsaw puzzle board with drawers and a few puzzles.
It’s a great alternative to snuggling together and watching Netflix and Amazon at times.
Maggie, of course, is a natural when it comes to jigsaw puzzles. As many here know, she is a craftsperson who creates beautiful paper tole artworks, cross-stitch art and works in other mediums. She is super-talented — and I have been urging her for years to start selling some of her works, but that is another story.
Meanwhile, I may be among the slowest in the world when it comes to jigsaw puzzles. But I have come to truly understand what it means to find the missing pieces.
But slow or fast, doing jigsaw puzzles together with some soft jazz playing in the background is a delightful way to spend some time with people you care about.
Cheers
