Long sigh . . . It is vacation time for me after what has been a very long workweek. OK, it wasn’t any longer than usual, mathematically speaking. It just seemed sooooo long.
Quebec got zonked by a major thunderstorms today, which has knocked out the power to hundreds of thousands of homes — last count, more than 500,000 people were without power. Miraculously, my home in the forest has power. Usually, we’re the first to lose power, and the last to get it back.
I feel I’ve neglected you all somewhat this week, while I have been focusing on LGBT matters in my Gazette blog (and running some of the posts here). I’ve missed our chats about skinnydipping and baring it all. But now that I’m off for a couple of weeks, we can have some fun — provided the lights don’t go out here.
Funny how we take so many things for granted, like electricity. What a nuisance it is when there are power outages. I was reading an article today about Mars, and how they now think Mars lost its atmosphere because of some instantaneous, calamitous event. Serves as a reminder of just how fragile planets are — and all those who occupy them. Kind of puts a lot of things in perspective, like all the ridiculous efforts by some people to deny equal rights to others in the name of some god that never speaks for itself . . . But I digress . . .
Smiles . . . I’m looking forward to some skinnydipping and nude sunbathing over the next couple of weeks. And there’s a visit to Ottawa in the works, to see both the city and a new friend there — I can’t wait to lounge in his hot tub — him, me and my g/f — with a nice glass of Barefoot red wine . . . Yummy . . . Two’s company, three’s a party, yes? lol. Just kidding. We’ll behave ourselves, right? (I’ll leave my floggers at home . . .)
Meanwhile, I also have to do something about my Internet connection. I’m using a Rogers mobile (cellphone) stick, which normally works well, but has been inconsistent here in the forest recently. But, apparently, there is now an Internet provider over traditional phone lines in the area, so will be looking into that . . .
Smiling . . . I’ve just had a glass of wine, and am wishing I could hug you all.
Kiss, kiss
Je t’aime.
Later . . .

The worst rain I have ever encountered was during my summer in Canada in 1967. We had to pull off the road and sit out a cloud burst with the noise of the hammering on the roof and could see almost nothing beyond the water niagaraing down the windows. Happy memories…

Yes, our climate combines 8 months of blizzards and 4 months of monsoons. The “best” of both worlds. Enjoy your vacation, skinny dipping, drinking, and flogging.

You’re always welcome to visit us in the Middle of South Carolina (Hopkins, SC) where the temperatures equal the humidity and it’s wonderful swimming or just floating in our pool or when the temps get too cool, the hot tub is always available.
