OK, I’m betting the preceding post was too morbid for many readers, and I won’t be seeing much response to it.
So, here’s something lighthearted, and seasonal:
Do you have a favourite Christmas song?
How about the opposite: a least-favourite Christmas song?
What Xmas tunes will you be listening to this year?
P.S. Personally, I hate Christmas songs. lol.

Favorite: The Christmas Song (“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…”) – Nat King Cole. Others have sung this song but NKC is the only one that does it justice.
Least favorite: Don’t have one … really. We like Christmas songs … AT Christmas time … not 4-7 days before Thanksgiving!!! December 1st is pushing it but NOT before Thanksgiving.

I certainly have to agree that the Hallelujah Chorus is one of my all-time favorites, and another favorite is “Mary, Did You Know?”.

I have always hated christmas songs ever since my early days at school where the only decently printed thing we saw from one years end to the other was a christmas carol song sheet and we were expected to pay for it!
Each year there is a frenzy to get a number one hit at christmas, usually manipulated by media types. A few years ago there was a version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah at No 1,2 and his own at 36. Strange because his own version was so much better than the others, for once I quite liked a “christmas” song.
In 2003 we had Mad World by Gary Jules, now that captured the whole way I feel about christmas. Video link below.
