The greatest band in the universe

If we Earthlings were to pick just one rock band’s recordings to compete against those by rock groups from other planets for the title of Greatest Rock Band in the Universe (suspend disbelief, please), I think there is only one band we could possibly choose: Led Zeppelin.

Sure, The Beatles and The Stones and U2 and Queen and Pink Floyd and so many others have produced lots of great music over the decades. But none can compete with the likes of Zep’s Stairway to Heaven and Kashmir.

Simply put, Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band this planet has ever produced, and I have no doubt that its recordings would be judged the greatest in the universe . . .

You agree, yes?

  1. Zeppelin may have made some great tunes…but… The Stones have touched humanity with great songs that we still know the words to and can sing along… I just can’t get no!

  2. In any case if it weren’t for the Mississippi delta none of them would be where they got. For one of the poorest and violent States of the USA it’s influence is deep. The juk(e) shacks are still there and still alive and well. Let’s get serious about the sources :):):):):);););););)
